    The enlightenment is the age of reason. The American and French revolution were inspired by the Enlightenment ideas.

    Johann Sebastian Bach, Francis Bacon and Cesare Beccaria

    - The Enlightenment had goals on freedom on use the own thinking of humans
    - The Enlightenment appeared as the focus on reason
    - The Enlightenment as the challenge of the authority from traditional to the intellectual one, one of the challenges was the church

    - In June of 1812, Napoleon and his “Grande Armée” of 500,000 men enter Russia, forcing them to retreat
