  • Proclamation

    Proclamation
    The Proclamation put a barrier beside the Appalachians that colonists couldn't cross and this upset the colonists because they fought the French and Indian War so they could expand western, but now they couldn't.
  • Currency Act

    Currency Act
    The Currency Act was when the British stated colonists couldn't use their currency and had to use the British currency. The colonists felt upset because they didn't have enough hard currency.
  • Sugar Act

    Sugar Act
    The Sugar Act added taxes on wine, skills, and coffee which increased smuggling. The colonists reacted by protesting and boycotting since they were angry about this.
  • Quartering Act

    Quartering Act
    The Quartering Act let soldiers stay in the colonist's homes and the colonists had to provide them with food. The colonists felt upset about this because they had to use their own items to help them out.
  • Stamp Act

    Stamp Act
    The Stamp Act was used to tax the colonists on goods and paper items since they went bankrupt after the war. This was used because the soldiers were defending and protecting the colonists, Parliament also needed money. The colonists felt angry because they were getting taxed and they didn't have a say in it.
  • Declaratory Act

    Declaratory Act
    The Declaratory Act was to banish the Stamp Act and reduced the Sugar Act, but Parliament stated they can place any law on the colonists and they couldn't do anything about it which made colonists angry.
  • Townshend Act

    Townshend Act
    The Townshend Act was when Parliament could impose taxes on the colonists for all the imported goods. The colonists felt angry because they still taxed them.
  • Boston Massacre

    Boston Massacre
    The Boston Massacre was the British soldiers were protecting customs commissioner and while they were doing that the colonists threw snow balls at them which led to the British opening fire on the colonists. The colonists were upset because the British were heartless towards them.
  • Boston Tea Party

    Boston Tea Party
    The Boston Tea Party were colonists dressed as Indians which was led by Samuel Adams to protest against taxing on imported goods and led to chests of tea getting dumped into the harbor. The colonists felt good since they stood up for themselves.
  • Intolerable Acts

    Intolerable Acts
    This act was a punishment for those who supported the Boston Tea Party and they stopped all trade until they paid back all the tea that was lost, which made the colonists feel angry about it.
  • Quebec Act

    Quebec Act
    This act had Quebec gain freedom and liberties and so did the Catholic Church, they were beside the 13 colonies. This made the colonists upset because they don't like the Catholics since they were protestants.
  • Quartering Act

    Quartering Act
    This act was soldiers having to be allowed into homes even when the house is already occupied. This made colonists feel mad because they had to aid soldiers with their supplies even when the home was occupied.
