    Signed by King George, forbade all settlements past the Appalachian Mountains.

  • The Stamp Act

    Tax on documents such as newspapers, stamps, playing cards, legal documents, and magazines had to be payed with British money.

    Allowed Great Britain soldiers to quarter in American Barracks and houses.
  • The Boston Massacre

    Patriot mob protesting the Townshend acts and Stamp acts, 5 people were killed.

    Colonist from Boston threw boxes of tea into the harbor in protest of the Tea acts, which were enacted on May 10th 1773.

    Passed to punish colonists for throwing tea into the harbor, took away Massechussets self governments and historic rights.
