LIU 12 coaches met for the first time as a group as part of the Ckassrooms for the Future (CFF) State Initiative

This was the first meeting for the 2007-2008 school year, which was cohort 2 of Classrooms for the Future. Cohort 1 coaches from IU12, 13, and 15 collaborated on their own the previous year without any direction.

Coaches from IU12, 13, and 15 collaborated to offer subject specific collaboration days. This was the first Math Collaboration Day for this year.

Since the previous year's collaboration days were getting too large (200+), the three IUs decided to separate the professional development, and offer it by IU. In addition, due to changes in state funding, the CFF Coach group shifted to what is now known as the Technology Integration Educator Network (TIEnet), which was expanded to all coaches/technology integrators in grades K-12 in the LIU region. Schools that were not part of the CFF grant were invited to participate and joined the group too

TIEnet expanded the day to grades 5 -12 with the intent to go K-12 the following year. Insted of subject specific days, the group decided to focus on the NETS-S. Four of the NETS-S were the focus, with the understanding that the others would happen through the other four. TIEnet wiki
