In the Spanish-American War, the Battle at San Juan Hill was a Battle concerning Cuba, America, and Spain. Roosevelt was the Commander of the Rough Riders, who were in the American forces. The battle was one of the bloodiest, and is considered to be one of the battles that decided the fate of the War. -

Roosevelt passed an Act that would amend the Interstate Commerce Act of 1887. The Elkins Act would give Railroads heavy fines if they were to offer people rebates. Fines would be given to the people who accepted the rebates, too. -

The Devils Tower was the first National Monument to be made in the U.S. It is made of igneous rock, and was made a monument as part of Roosevelt's preservation of the environment. -
Pure Food and Drug Act
Roosevelt passed the Pure Food and Drug Act. This Act would ban foreign and interstate commerce that held mislabeled or mistreated food and drug products, as well as stating how pure food or drug should be in order to be safe for humans. -
Roosevelt Heads to Africa
Having lost his election, Roosevelt heads to Africa with his son, along with the Smithsonian Institution who outfitted the two to go hunting. Their one-year expedition has gotten them around 11,400 specimens to be collected for the Natural History Museum. -
Bull-Moose Party is Unsuccessful
Roosevelt was the Nominee for the Bull-Moose, or Progressive, Party, which was a group of Republicans who weren't satisfied with the Republican Party's actions. However, because the Republicans were divided, Democratic nominee Woodrow Wilson won the election.
