    During the worlds fair in New York Edward U. Condon showed of the first video game, which was called "Nim" it was a computer vs human situation, and the computer won 90% of the time.

    One of the first video game giants, Atari made their first console! This thing had some of the most iconic games! There was Donkey Kong, Space Invaders! This thing is a large chip off of the old block.

    Of coarse there's the crash. And it's all blamed on E.T, which was called the worst game ever to exist. Although many other bad games, plus the saturation of the market just made people not want to play the games...

    Ah yes the Nintendo Entertainment System. When this thing got to the market it re-ignited the gaming culture and market! And they marketed it as an "entertainment system", not a video game console! Sneaky Nintendo!

    The game boy, a brick of a "Game console", was released to the portable gaming market, and Nintendo stayed on top of the market ever since.
  • Doom, and not gloom

    Games like Mortal Combat, and Doom hit the shelfs... and their enemies... Hard... anyways, games during this time were a lot more gory, and parents didn't like every moment of it.

    Nintendo decided to team up with Sony, but Sony thought that Nintendo was stalling them to not have competition.

    The Nintendo Virtual Boy was the first ever virtual console, if you count it as one... The whole thing was red, even the screen! Now it's collected as a part of history, and cause it's cool to ave one.

    Sega, having several failed products, decided to make their next console online capable, sadly their console didn't sell very well... at all, Sega just makes games now.
