Nintendo launched one of their first gaming consoles in America which led to a huge success. This console became a household name across America. Many tv shows/movies that takes place in the late 80s, always seem to contain an NES in the living room.

Nintendo's most infamous video game character, Mario, is introduced in The Super Mario Bros game. Mario isn't just known in Japan but around the world including the US. Last year, Hollywood came out with a Super Mario movie that did amazing in the box office in America. Parents went with their children and plenty of adults went with their friends.

Nintendo releases the first portable hand-held game system. Many kids begged there parents to buy them this for birthdays and christmases. Kids were able to bring this anywhere without having to connect it to anything and it became easier for parents as well.
