A rich young man named Lucentio, along with Tranio, and Biondello, arrive in Padua to attend a school there. They witnesses Katarina, Bianca’s sister being mistreated by the people, and does nothing. -
2:15pm: Change of Plans
Lucentio plans change when he sets his eyes on Bianca, instantly falling in love with her. Bianca is the sister of katerina, they are both the daughters of Baptista. -
2:30pm: Lucentio Overhears Gremio & Hortensio
Lucentio overhears Hortensio and Gremio, complaining about how Katerina is a shrew and is making life difficult for them. They both agree that they need to find her a husband because Baptista won't allow them to marry her until Katerina has a husband. -
4:00pm: Lucentio's Observations of Katerina
Lucentio observes that this is the only way possible for Baptista to get rid of Katerina. He doesn’t like her.Nobody in the town will consider marrying Katerina because of her “cursed” attitude. They all strongly dislike and feel there is no hope for her. -

8:00am: Lucentio's Plans
Lucentio comes up with a plan to get to know and be close to Bianca. He will become her tutor. Nobody in the town knows who Lucentio is yet so he pretends that his servant is actualling him, while he disguises himself as a teacher named Cambio. He relies on hortensio and Gremio to find Katerina a husband. -
9:30am: Hortensio's Plans
Hortensio also has the same Idea, and becomes Bianca’s music teacher. -
11:30am: Following Through With The Plans
Hortensio and Lucentio are both accepted to tutors by Baptista. both men have to tutor Katerina as well and do not enjoy it at all, acting agrily towards her. Bianca tends to take to lucentio (Cambio) more than she does to Hortensio. -
10:00am: The Arrival of Petruchio
Petruchio, a friend of Hortensio comes to Padua to find a wife. He doesn’t care whether she has a bad attitude or if she’s good looking, as long as she will bring him lots of money. -
12:00pm: Hortensio's Suggestion
Hortensio suggests that that Petruchio marries Katarina. Petruchio agree’s on the spot. -
2:00pm: Petruchio's Meeting
Petruchio goes to meet Baptista and Katrina. Baptista promises him wealth. Petruchio claims he will marry Katarina whether she likes it or not and sets a specific date for the wedding. -
12:51pm: Late For his Own Wedding
Petrucio is late to his own wedding. When he finally does show up, he is dressed ridiculously, embarrassing Katerina. He causes lots of commotion at the church. -
1:00pm: Petruchio Takes Katerina
Katerina wants to stay for the wedding feast, but she is taken against her will by Petruchio, who claims that she is his property now. -
6:00pm: At Petruchio's House
Petruchio takes Katerina to his house. He keeps her from sleeping and eating for several days. Petruchio is treating his servants terribly, complaining and punishing them for doing nothing wrong. Katherina starts to speak against Petruchio's poor treatment towards his servants, but he ignores her. -
10:00am: Back in Padua
In Padua, Lucentio wins Bianca’s heart. Lucentio offers Baptista a large amount of money to mary Bianca. Baptita agrees to his request so long as he can meet his father first. -
9:00pm: Second Wedding Planned
Baptista meets who he thinks is Lucentio's father. The wedding is confirmed and a date selected. -
7:00pm: Stuck at Home
Katerina continues to refuse to give into Petruchio's demands. Petruchio refuses to let her go and finally just goes to Padua himself. -
3:00pm: Problems at Petruchio's House
Petruchio and Katerina plan to go visit Padua because of Lucentio's and Bianca's wedding. Whenever Katrina disagree’s with petruchio, Petruchio threatens to take her or keep her at home. Katerina refuses to give in to the demands of Petruchio. She can't stand how Petruchio's treating her and his servants. -
12:00pm: Petruchio's Arrival at the Wedding
Petruchio arrives to the wedding alone. When he gets there Baptista, Bianca, and Lucentio all see that Katerina isn't with him. They start yelling at him, asking what he has done to Katerina. Nobody will let him speak. and the people start threatening to kill him. Petruchio then flee's back to his house. -
6:00pm: Back at home
Petruchio arrives back at home, angry and frustrated at what has happened. Katerina observes his servants trying to comfort him, and see's Petruchio talking nicely to them. -
6:30pm: Apologizing
Petruchio and Katerina talk nicely to each other. Katerina asks lots of questions about all the treatment she has been recieving from him. Petruchio explains that he never meant to hurt his servants feelings, or embarase her, but was trying help her learn compasion and humility. He also appologizes for not taking her to the wedding. Katerina appologizes for not listening to Petruchio. They Both promise each other they will treat each other with love and respect from now on.
