    The Crusades were religious wars between Christians and Muslims, for the holy land (Jerusalem). Not much was acomplished during theese wars but the Europeans got introduced to many spices and insruments. This made the colonist want to explore and expand there horixons to more than just 10 ft. away from there home. This made the Middle Ages come to an end.

    The Black Death or the Black Plauge came from the rats on the ships that exported goods to Europe. People believed it was a punishment from god since they were so relgious. The disease killed 1/3 of the European population. The Black Death was something that they had never seen. This inspired them to start to make more progess by using medicines.

    Columbus took 3 ships with on on the voyage, the Nina, Pinta, and Santa Maria. The point of Coloumbus' voyage was actually to find a quikcer route to reach the east. So when he found land he thought it was India (it was . He didnt really find North America but he found some Carribian islands.
    Tjis event is imporant because it tells us that person we think found America actually didn't.

    Martin Luther posted the 95 thesis on the door of his church (WIttenberg Church), Which started the protestant reformation. The 95 thesis were things that the church did wrong, basically not what the bible says. The pope told Luther to take back his 95 thesis, but he refused. Since he refused he got excommunicates or cut off by the church. This brought the idea of it being okay to have different religions, like Lutheranism.

    Hernan Cortez was an explorer . Mexicans, were controlled by the Aztec Indians. The Aztecs were very poius and the most powerful Indian tribe. Cortez set out to Mexico looking for gold, but luckily (for him) when he got there he killed the whole population with a disease. The population included the Aztec Indians. As the result he accidentally "defeated" the Aztecs. This is important because this gave Spain a chance to claim Florida.

    There was a meeting held in Philadelphia with 55 delagates frim 12 colonies, they came together and wrote the Delaration of Independence. They decided to meet again in one year. This was one of Americas first steps to becoming independent.

    This war was between England and France, they both wanted control over the Ohio River. In the beginning Britian had a bad start they still won in the end. England became even more powerful and the Natvies got bad colonist.

    The Albany Plan of Union was made by Benjamin Franklin, it was made in 1754 for all 13 colonies. It was a purposal to create a government for all the colonies. The British colines formed an alliance instead because they'd rather stay independent. This shows that people were thinking of establishing a government, which is a main factor in how our government is constructed today.

    General Braddock was a British soldier that took his troops to attack Ft. Duquesne. Before they even arived, they were attacked by the Natives. Since the British had a bad start to Gen.     Parliment placed a tax on sugar, and the colonist had no representation. This was important because it was one of the main events that led to the Revolutionary War.

    Parliment plaaced their first direct tax on the colonist, taxes on all printed papers. John Dickson asked King George III for help with parliment, since there was no help they decieded to boycott. In 1766 they repealed the Stamp Act. This was the first thing that England did bad to the colonist, which made them realize they neeed independence.

    This act allowed British Soldiers to come into any colonists homes and take what what ever they want. This means the soldiers could come in and take whatever they want and basically kick you out of your house. This is allows colonist to understand that Britain doesn't care for them.

    This started because England wanted to take over concord's milita supply. On April 19, 1775 they arrived and 8 colonist were killed. England didn't know that all the supplies were moved. This was the first battle of the American Revolution which brought America to their freedom.

    The Fugitive Slave Law is a law that says all citizens were required to help runaway slaves, and if you help a fugitive you would be fines and/or placed in jail. The judges recieved $10 for each fugitive returned to the South, and $5 for allowing them to stay in the North. This law is a main thing that started to seperate the North from the South to start the Civil War.
