  • The Currency Act

The Currency Act basically allow the colonist to print and come up with their own kind of currency to use in the colonies. I can see this being a big deal as to why they rebelled as it is unfair and makes living in the colonies a lot harder.
  • Quartering Act

    Quartering Act
This act forced Colonist to provide food and shelter for British soldiers when needed. This act was essential for the act of independence because the food was harder to obtain back in 1760 and having a British soldier in your home eating your food is not acceptable.
  • Towns head Act

Towns Head act was a series of acts passed by the British tacing the colonist for paper, glass, lead, paint, and tea. This shows how the Colonist were taxed on a lot of things without their opinions.
  • Boston Massacre

The Boston Massacre happened when an angry mob of colonist confront British soldiers in Boston. 5 colonist were killed.
This was important in the act of independence since this proves to the colonist they can not do things peacefully.
  • Boston Tea party

    Boston Tea party
The Boston tea party was a rebellious act by the colonist which consisted of them dressing up as Indians and dumping 342 crates of tea into the harbor. Colonist are now stepping up and doing something about the Boston port act which took lots of people jobs.

  • Thomas Jefferson

    Thomas Jefferson
Thomas Jefferson was one of the founding fathers and actually wrote most of the Declaration of Independence. The reason I think this is very important is because of him and the founding fathers helped set a good foundation for the country.
  • Benjamin Franklin

    Benjamin Franklin
Ben Franklin in the year 1776 went to France to ask for protection and help for the colonist. Some might say the reason we won and were able to become a country is that we later had help from the French.
