    The invasion of Poland happened on September 1,1939. This invasion was supported by Hitler, and planned it because he sought the nonaggression pact in order to neutralize the possibility of a French-Polish military alliance against Germany before Germany had a chance to rearm. When Germany had invaded Poland, the Polish at y was defeated quite quickly, within a weeks. Soon after the Warsaw had surrendered to the Germans on September 27.1939, Poland declared war on Germany.

    German Blitzkrieg, meaning Lightning War, was held from the year 1939 to 1940. This was the event that took place because Germany wanted to avoid a long war, so Germany quickly overran most of Europe within two years. Blitzkrieg tactics required many weapons, such as planes, tanks, and artillery. Though at first German Blitzkrieg was succeeding, later Hitler had declared war on the United States.

    On December 7, 1941, hundreds of Japanese fighter planes attacked the American naval base at Pearl Harbor near Honolulu, Hawaii. This invasion had lasted a little over two hours and Japan had merely taken over 20 naval vessels. More than two thousand American soldiers were killed and more than a thousand were wounded. The day after the attack, president Franklin D. Roosevelt had declared war on Japan, and Japan had allied with Germany and ital, and declared war on the United States.

This invasion was one of the largest military assaults in history. By late August 1944, France was free, and Germany was defeated by the allies.

As the Germans moved deeper and deeper into the Ardennes, the Allied line took on the appearance of a large bulge, giving rise to the battle’s name.Its objective was to split the Allied armies through the Ardennes to Antwerp.

Though the dropping of this bomb had meant and declared the end of World War II, it began the Cold War. On August 6, 1945, the American bomber Enola Gay dropped a five-ton bomb over the Japanese city of Hiroshima. it was equivalent to the power of 15,000 tons reduced four square miles.

From Japan invading and leading attacks on Hiroshima, Pearl Hafnkr and Nagasaki, it came to a brutal end that made many people extremely joyful.
