    Proclamation Line
    To stop native people conflict, Britain's government stopped westward expansion. This made people unhappy because they had come to America to get land.
  • The stamp Act

    The stamp Act
    The Stamp Act was introduced to help Great Britain with their debt. This put a tax on paper and everyone who wanted to use it had to buy a stamp which could cost a lot. This made many people made and triggered a big protest.
  • The Townshend Acts

    The Townshend Acts
    Townshend made 4 different acts, the Restraining Act, the Revenue Act, the Indemnity Act, and the Vice-Admiralty Court Act. These disbanded the New York Assembly, placed taxes on consumer items, exempted British East-India Company from taxes, and established three more vice-admiralty courts. These made people fell like they were losing liberty.
  • The Boston Massacre

    The Boston Massacre
    A group of townspeople in Boston were throwing rocks, sticks, and insults at a group of British soldiers. In return, the soldiers opened fire into the crowd of townspeople, killing five of them. The Sons of Liberty immediately started riling up Americans by saying the soldiers opened fire on fleeing innocent townspeople.

    The Tea Act of 1773
    The British tea firm, East India Company was about to go bankrupt, so Britain enacted the Tea Act of 1773 which made the tea company able to export tea to the colonies without having to pay anything. This made many smugglers mad and a lot of them had a lot of influence in the colonies.
