  • French and Indian War

    The French and Indian War played a huge role in the revolutionary war. Both the British and the french wanted land. The French were badly outnumbered so they had to use their Indian allies. They took control of the Forks of Ohio first and built a trading post there named Fort Duquesne. Soon the problem came. The Battle of Jumonville Glen in May 1754 was when the action started. George Washington and some Indians that was lead by the half king, assulted the French patrol.That was the start of war
  • The Sugar act

    The Sugar Act is a law where the King taxed Sugar and Molasses. Everyone was required to pay six pence per gallon for any imported molasses. That makes the British products cheaper than the ones from the French west Indies. That ruined the their market. Soon the colonies boycotted the British's products.
  • Stamp Act

    The king reacted to the boycott from the colonies. He ended the bad sugar act and added the even worse stamp act. Now you have to pay to write. It ended after many protests and some tax collectors to ditch their jobs, the Parliament voted to end the act.
  • Boston Massacre

    The Boston Massacre was a street fight between a mob of people and some red coats. The crowd was fighting with sticks snowballs and clubs and the red coat had guns. None of the red coats were killed but five colonists were killed.
  • The Tea Act

    The Tea Act was about the Parliament taxing tea. It was made to ruin the East Inia Company that had 18 million pounds of tea and was selling them for a really cheap price.
  • The Boston Tea Party

    The Boston Tea Party was when three ships, that was all carrying tea entered the port of Boston. Before the tax could be collected a party of Bostonians that was dressed as Ntive Americans -they can't been seen -threw 342 boxes of tea over board.
  • The Battle of Lexington

    The Britain's General had a secret plan to envade Lexington and get guun powder in Concord. But the spies of the Americans heard of the plan and made the famous "midnight ride". The word spread and other towns got ready minute mens. They soon had a small army and waited for the British to come.
  • The Battle of Bunker Hill

    On June 16, 1775 a bit of American troops moved to their goal bunker hill. From the hill the Americans can blow up the town and ships, but somehow the men thought that their goal was Breed's Hill. The next morning the British charged straight on. The Britsh lost many men in the first charge. In the second charge the same thing happened. During the third charge the Americans were low on ammo so they had to go hand-to-hand combat. The British finally took Breed Hill but their numbers reduced badly
  • The Battle of German Town

    On October the fourth, Washington attacked the British army that had nine thousand people. The battle started well and Wahington forced the British to retreat. But his plan failed when one of the four colums failed and so the other colums couldn't make well coordinated attacks. At last Washington was forced to retreat and they lost the battle. However that battle boosted the confidence in Washington's army.
  • Comstitution Sighed

    Finally after many bloody battles and lots of boycotts the British finally agreed to sigh the Constitution of Independence. That is now Independence day.
