Britan imposes taxes
The British had gain a huge debt from the French And Indian War, and the only way to pay for it was to tax the colonies on things such as sugar, paper, tea, and many other poducts that the colonists used in their everyday lives. -
The sugar act is imposed
this tax was palced on molsasses, wich was a valueable item in the triangular trade. Often, merchents would smuggle molasses into the colonies, and even paid tax collecters to look the other way. -
the stamp act is imposed
The Stamp act put a tax on paper goods, such as wills, marriage papers, diplaomas, playing cards, newspapers, alamanacs, and even dice, requiring these things to have a stamp on them if the tax was payed. -
