    Who: The British soldiers and American colonists
    What: The British army was headed towards Lexington and Concord to capture rebel arms
    When: April 19, 1775
    Where: Lexington and Concord
    Why: The British were going to destroy the Americans weapons.
  • Bunker Hill

    Who: The British soldiers and American colonists/militia
    What: The British were being surrounded by over a thousand American militia. Because of this, they decided to go to two hills. Bunker Hill and Breeds Hill. The Americans heard about this plan and went to guard the hills.
    When: June 17, 1775
    Where: Bunker Hill and Breeds Hill
    Why: The British were trying to keep control of the city but couldn't.

    Who: George Washington, soldiers
    What: George Washington ferried soldiers across the Delaware and attacked at Trenton.
    When: December 26, 1776
    Where: Long Island, Trenton
    Why: Stun the British, take supplies and regain America's self-confidence.

    Why: British general Burgoyne had a plan to split the colonies so the British could win the battles. He ended up on his own.

    What: Was the place that America camped
    When: Winter of Dec. 19, 1777- Jun 19, 1778
    Where: Valley Forge
    Why: they could be close enough to the British to watch them but also far enough away so they would have warning if the British decided to attack.

    Who: The British and the Americans
    What: The last battle of the Revolutionary War. The British surrendered and considered a peace treaty.
    When: October 19, 1781
    Where: Yorktown
    Why: British started thinking they would lose the war after around 8000 British troops surrendered.
