    Since the British went into debt after the French and Indian War they thought of the sugar act to make more money. The Sugar Act made people pay a tax on sugar and forced them to grow sugar and buy more slaves.

    The Currency Act

    The Currency Act was put in to protect merchants from being paid in depreciated colonial money. So the colonist could no longer use paper money. The Currency Act was the extended version of the one before the way. And that was one of the reasons going in to the French And Indian War.     The British made the Stamp Act to make money back after the war. The Stamp Act put a tax on every legal document and on newspaper, dice and playing cards. The colonist did not like this they boycotted British goods starting in Virginia and going through Massachusetts. The British could not afford to keep this act in any longer so they repealed the Stamp Act the next year.

    The Quartering Act was passed by the British for better military housing. The colonist did not like to give the solders housing and food. They boycotted with the Stamp act and it helped both conflicts. The British could not keep ether of these acts up so they repealed it the next year.     The TownShend Act

    The TownShend Act Was composed of four acts. The first act made people follow The Quarter Act. The second act imposed duties to the import of Tea,Lead, Paper, and Paint. The Third act made the import of tea free of tax. And the fourth act Change their customs and placed their head quarters in Boston.The people did not like this. This event lead to the Boston Tea Party. And finally five years later the act was repealed.
