Industrial Revolution
At the dawn of the Industrial Revolution in the mid 1700s, the world's human population grew by about 57 percent to 700 million. It would reach one billion in 1800. It made it easier for people to move to cities, and have a life outside of farming. The middle class would grow during this time period. -
Population Growth Today
The dawn of the 21st century has allowed for people to migrate, for people to live longer, and the population to grow. For the first time in 2011 the population would hit 7 billion. Now it is around 7.6 billion.
