    The war of the 7 years supposed economic losses for England.
    So the evolution of the economy, especially financial difficulties, the development of new forms of industrial production and trade, were worsening the political situation of the 13 colonies.

    Laws of the King

    George III of England implements the "Law of sugar", the "Law of the seal" and the tea monopoly "Boston Tea Party". These new taxes increased the dissatisfaction of the thirteen colonies.
  • The first contact with Independence

    The colonies meet at the first Congress of Philadelphia. The settlers in the United States were convinced that they had to take measures to protect their lives and their freedom. It was stated that the inhabitants of the English colonies had the right to life, liberty and property. It was also decided to carry out a joint commercial boycott: the imports of any product from Great Britain will cease and the colonies will stop exporting their products to that nation.

    Was one of the most important wars fought during the course of the War of Independence of the United States. The British tried to dominate New York and isolate New England from the southern colonies. It was a decisive victory since the battle was the impulse that France needs to enter the war with Great Britain and allowed the access of much needed supplies and provisions.
  • The Battle of Yorktown

    Was the last great battle of the American Revolution. The American and French forces surrounded the British soldiers and provoked the surrender of Cornwallis. The war was brought to an end as the forces of Cornwallis were the last great contingent of the British army in the United States.
  • The Treaty of Paris

    The Treaty of Paris ended the War of Independence of the United States. The fatigue of the participants and the evidence that the distribution of forces, with the English predominance at sea, made impossible a military outcome, which led to the cessation of hostilities, recognized the independence of the Thirteen Colonies and granted the new nation all the territory north of Florida, south of Canada and east of the Mississippi River.
