    Edgar Allen Poe was born to Eliza Poe and David Poe Jr. On January 19, 1809
  • His Father abandons him

    In 1810, His father abandons him when he's 1 year old.
  • Poe's Mother

    His mother had an actress career to raise her children. She dies of Tuberculosis when he is only 3 years old.

    Allan's first love dies when he was 15 of brain cancer

    While his foster mother is dying, his foster mother is having affairs with other women
  • School

    In 1827, John Allan sent Edgar to boarding school. Boarding school was for Edgar. Mr. Allan really didn't care about Edgar. Edgar gambled a lot while he was in boarding school which left him in much debt.

    Edgar becomes a soldier because he's i so much debt.
  • Sacrafices

    Edgar is so poor to the point that he has to burn his furniture to keep warm. He was a genius that was poor.
  • Boston Bound

    Edgar moves to Boston. At the age of 20 he takes his own money to purchase his two published books/poetry.
  • A new beginning

    Edgar moves with his aunt Maria and his cousin Virginia.
  • Foster mother's death

    In 1829, his foster mother dies of TB. Her death affected him terribly.

    John Allan dies and leaves nothing for Edgar in his will.

    In 1835, Poe gets a job as an editor.

    His young cousin, Virginia, became a literary inspiration to Poe as well as his love interest.

    At the age of 26, He marries his 12 year old cousin, Virginia.

    Poe finds out that his wife has TB. He starts romancing a lot of women at the same time.
  • Death of his cousin/wifey

    Virginia does of TB. Poe loses his mind after the death of his wifey/cousin. Poe starts to drink heavily. Later, Poe and another women gets engaged.
  • Bad Circumstances

    Poe is found laying unconscious on a street corner in Baltimore.
  • The Death of Poe

    Poe becomes delirious. On Sunday morning, October 7th, 1849, he wakes up and says "God help my poor soul". then he died.
