In The Reaping what happens is that 2 children between the ages of 12 and 18 are choosen to participate in the Hunger Games . In The Reaping that took place at District 12 Primrose Everdeen was Choosen But Her sister Katniss Volenteered So She Wouldnt Have To Go . The Male Tribute that was choosen was Peeta Mellark .

After the reaping takes place then the two tribues , being Peeta and Katniss are brought to the capital to shown , and trained to get ready for The Games .

After a few days of rest ad rejuvination the tributes are shown to all the districs in Panam . All 24 tributes are shown that day .

After being intorduced to the people of the capital the tributes are brought to a private place to train. They are taught combat and some survival techniques.
