  • Gale tries to convince Katniss to run away with him

    He wants them to take both families and run away so that they can hide from the government

  • Every child prepares for the picking of the tirbutes for the 74th Hunger Games

    All of the children must go home put on their best clothes and look as best as they can.

  • Prim is picked as the female tribute for district 12

    Katniss volunteers as tribute and takes the place of her little sister

    Each of the tributes is supposed to set up some kind of strategy before they go into the game. They are given pointers by their mentors.

    Within the first day many of the tributes are kiled

    Some of the career tributes band together in order to take out the weaker opponents

  • Katniss and Peetah are the only two reamining in the game

    Everyone else has died and the only two remaining are faced with the choice of who will die and who will win

  • Peeta and Katniss try to eat the berries

    They feel that if both of them are unable to win then they will die together. They decide to eat poisonous berries so that there will be no victor

  • The two are stopped by the game maker

    The game maker knows that there must be a winner. He yells and stops the two from eating the berries and killing themselves

  • Katniss and Peeta are named the winners of the 74th Hunger Games

    Katniss and Peeta are the winners of the Hunger Games and are allowed to return back to the capital to be interviewed and tour the rest of the districts
