A Russian scientist by the name of Mikhail Lomonosov from the russian academy of sciences, creates a small rotor powered by a spring suggesting the idea of lift.

Thomas Edison is given a grant to develope a helicopter and gets it to fly 1500 km and patents his bag idea.

Cierva creates the first auto-gyro in the US and tested to fly. Using turbines encorating for speed.

Iogr Sigorskies R-4 becomes the worlds first mass produced helicopter.
