    The Lockheed SR-71 Blackbird took its first flight. It was very revolutionary because it was the first plane to incorporate modern stealth technology and design. It flew over mach 3 and no SR-71 was ever shot down.

    Lockheed Skunkworks built the first prototype stealth plane called the "Hopeless Diamond" because if was diamond shaped and looked too hopless to fly.

    The F-35 Lightning is the new model of the X-35. The air force is currently testing on it. It is meant to be a multi-role stealth fighter and bomber, even though we still use the B2 and the F117.
