    The gunpowder plot (5th of November)
    “Guy Fawkes”and his friends were Catholics and didn’t feel the Protestant king treated them fairly.So they decided to destroy parliament by exploding it using gunpowder .So they were underneath parliament they prepared (31 barrels)Guy fawkes waited their to lit the gunpowder, but then a guy warned a friend that’s why they got caught.They failed and then they were taken in the Tower of London and guy fawkes. Got tortured.They cut of his head. It was displayed as a warning.

    The English civil war a battle between the” roundheads” and the “Cavaliers”,which the roundheads soon conquered/won, then King Charles I was executed soon after.
