  • Alien and Sedition Acts

    Alien and Sedition Acts
    President John Adams issued this set of laws so any foreigners who were thought to be a threat were deported or imprisoned. It also stated that you had to live in the U.S. for 14 years before becoming a citizen. Many people did not like these laws and states passed opposing laws causing the plan to fail.

    North African states were receiving money from the U.S. and they needed more but the U.S. refused to pay. The British burned down the white house but also lost Native American support.Their were many Naval Battles, the U.S. won many. their was no clear winner but it resulted in Andrew Jackson and William Henry becoming President.
