    The Wright brothers spend a great deal of time studying birds and the way they fly with the wings they have.They noticed that birds would soar into the wind and turn and maneuver their wings. They believed that they could use this technique on the plane they created for flying

    The two brothers had created a series of gliders that would be flown as a kite and with a human on board. They relized that the hardest problem they would face was the control of the flying aircraft.

    After flying with numerous test glides the wright brothers made a new glider that had a movable tail that would be connected to the wings, this would help coordinate turns. After studying motors for a very long time, they came to the conclusion that they need to make a powered aircraft. It was called The Flyer.

    The inventors of the first airplane were Orville and Wilbur Wright, in this picture they have lift off for the first time. The aircraft was 10 feet of the ground and landed 120 feet away from the take off zone. The entire flight lasted 12 seconds.

    In 1904, the two brothers made an even stronger plane that could fly for longer distances. The entire flight lasted for about 5 minutes. It was flown by Wilbur Wright

    The write brothers recieved the patent for the flying machine in 1906. They had a issue with Glenn Curtiss, who sold an airplane to the Aeronautic Society of New York in 1909. The write brothers end up filing a lawsuit and won.

    Today planes have tons of new advancements that let the guests riding them have a fun and enjoyable ride, We would not have this invention if the Wright Brothers did not chose to make history.
