    One event that led to the Proclamation of 1763 (ban of settlers from moving West of Appalachian Mountains) was Pontiac's Rebellion. A Native American Chief named Pontiac led many violent attacks against the British. This is connected to the Enlightenment by the ideas that include natural rights and a social contract.
