Roosevelt, the British Prime Minister Winston Churchill, and also the Soviet Union Premier Joseph held a meeting discussing the future of the war against Japan.     On April 12, Franklin Roosevelt was getting his portrait painted when he suddenly collapsed. That same morning he was complaining about a very big pain in the back of his head, like a headache. But he just ignored it, and the same day he died. The cause of death was "Cerebral hemorrhage". When the American people found out their president died many people were sad.

    During the Cold War, the US had an operation code-named Mike, the first thermonuclear weapon (hydrogen bomb). Edward Teller, Stanislaw M. Ulam, and other American scientists developed were the first to make the first hydrogen bomb in the United States, which was tested at Enewetak atoll on November 1, 1952.

    The Korean War was a war between North Korea and South Korea. They were fighting because North Korea wanted South Korea to join them and become one Korea and have a communist government. The Soviet Union and China Helped aid North Korea while the United States help aid South Korea.
