Prologue- Chp. 9 (pages 1-54)
The book introduces with Jacques Sauniere and him about to being killed, at his job as the curator at the Louvre Museum, Paris. His killer is an albino monk named Salias under the control of the Church.
And Robert Langdon, the symbologist being called to the crime scene by the Head of French police, to decipher a code Sauniere had left after he was killed.

Chp. 9- Chp. 12 (pages 55-70)
At the crime scene the head of police gets a call that a cryptologist, Sophie Neveu had arrived to help decipher the code.
Sauniere had placed himself in one of Da Vinci's works, with a 4 lined code about something hidden.
As Sophie leaves, and Robert goes to the bathroom, the police have trackers on Robert, and Sophie helps him escape from the police.

Chp. 12- Chp. 23 (pages 70-115)
While trying to escape Robert and Sophie try to desipher the code further revealing that the code is based upon a five-pointed star. And Sophie reveals that she is Sauniere's grandaughter, and was raised by him.
Also that the both of them are prime suspects in the crime of Sauniere's murder & that something is hidden near the Mona Lisa.
They creep back into the Grand Gallery to the Mona Lisa. They find a key that Sophie's grandfater told her to never show anyone.[pgs. read: 45, total: 114] -
Chp. 33- Chp. 42 (pgs. 156-190) make-up for 1/24/2013
Sophie shows Robert the key as the speed away from the Louvre, and he notices that it is lazer cut with the five-pointed star, and P.S. for the Priory of Sion, the guardians of the Holy Grail. They then go to a Swiss Deposit Bank and see if the key fits within a safe that Sauniere had left for Sophie. [pgs. read:34, total: 186] -
Chp. 42- Chp. 53 (pgs.190-241)
Robert and Sophie come into the bank and find that the key does fit, and part of the code Sauniere left fits into the security number. Sauniere had left a code within a code. Then out come a rosewood box, with a cryptex inside.
Then with the help of the bank president they make it out of the perimeter of the the bank while the police are stationed inside the fences.
After awhile the president pulls over and makes them get out of the car.

Chp. 53- Chp. 69 (pgs. 242- 316)
Sophie and Robert get the car and drive to Robert's friend, and knight Leigh Teabing. When they arrive it is around 1am, Remy (Leigh's manservent) greets them at the door. When Leigh comes to meet them they all disscuss the Priory of Sion, and it;s history of protecting the Grail, and the original reason for the protection, "The Rose" Mary Magdalene.
They find out that Sauniere was the Grand Master of the Priory, the heighest honor.

After the kidnapping Robert and Sophie, without the cryptex go to the King's College to do some research.
Slias and Remy sit in the car, with Leigh tied up in the back when "the Teacher" calls and says that Slias has no more part in the mission to collect the cryptex.
At the library Robert finds out that the next answer to the cryptex Sir. Isiacc Newton.
Remy drops Slias off at the Church, and goes to meet the teacher.

The teacher turns out to be Leigh, who kills Remy with a drink filled with peanuts, his deadly allergy. And proceeds to Westminster Abby to find SIr. Issac Newton.
Robert and Sophie arrive at the Abby and go over to Newton's Tomb to find the next piece of the cryptex.
But find a message to go to the Chapter Houe within the Abby. There they find Leigh, and he holds them to gun point to give him the answer to the cryptex.

Chp. 69- Chp. 101 (pgs. 317-449) 1
The monk, breaks into the house as the police arrive. They leave to board a plane to escape the country. And disipher the cryptex, and continue to further discuss the Knights Templiar, the Priory.
Back at the house the police cover the sence, and try to figure out what hapenned and where they all went.
Once in England they travel to a church know for the Knights Templiar, and Slias and Remy who are both involved with the church turn on Sophie, Robert and Leigh is kidnapped.

In Scotland at the Rosslyn Temple, Sophie finds out why he grandfater rasied her. This is because she has royal blood, nd she was too be protected from the Church, along with her little brother, who she meets there.
And Robert talks to Sophie and he will be "visiting" her later on, after he has taught some classes.

Robert and Sophie "attack Leigh and get the cryptex back, and solve it to find a map of where the Grail is located.
before Slias goes into the Church he finds himself at gun pint and fires, and ends up shooting the man who raised him-Bishiop. And getting shot himself as well.
Slias ends up diying due to the severness of his injuries, but prays for his Bishiop and he lives, and the French police lift the charges on Sophie and Robert.
Sophie and Robert end up in Scotland.
