    On November 9, 1989 the Berlin Wall began to come down signalling the beginning of the end of the Cold War. According to Mike Reuther of the Williamsport Sun-Gazette, "perhaps no event symbolizes the end of the Cold War more significantly than that of the collapse of the Berlin Wall."
