    Cold War was between the Comunist nation and the Capitalist nation. The USSR being the communist and the US being Capitalist. Throughout, both nations were testing each other and seeing who was the strongest power. They were both trying to spread there teachings of government across the globe. this led to the Cuban Missile crisis which nearly started a Nuclear War.
  • China Becomes Communist

    China Becomes Communist
    Joseph Stalin broke out communism into China. The spread came about early as there was an official communist party by 1921. Post-civil war during 1947, Mao Zedong was leading a communist revolution in China, and was following the footsteps of Joseph Stalin, the USSR leader. Because of the similar style implemented by Mao Zedong the system was soon to be known as Maoism and China became a Communist nation in 1949
  • Korean War

    Korean War
    The Korean War was from 1950 to 1953. Involved parties included the United States, China and Russia. Korea was divided after WWII ended and there were two different Korean republics, The People’s Democratic Republic and The Republic of Korea. The war was an effort from both sides trying to join each other, The Republic of Korea was backed by the United States and the Democratic was also backed by the USSR. Casualties exceeded 3.5 million people.

    The Space race was between the USSR and America. A massive rivarly between both powerhouses was a point to flex thier muscles as tention rose in the Cold War. Russia were leading early when they sent out the spuntik on 1957. after alot of back and forth action the mericans pass Russians with Apollo 8, sending 3 men into lunar orbit. Space Race ends on July 21, 1969, when Neil Armstrong steps foot on the moon. therefore the Americans won the space race
  • Vietnam War

    The Vietnam War was America attempting to prevent the spread of communism in Asia therefore if the breakout would of happened 1/3 would of been communist. This was one of the more serious instances in the cold war as Vietnam was one of the only instances where legitimate combat fighting took place during the cold war where many troops died from American fighters to Australian fighters.

    Cuban Missile Crisis
    CMC was A thirteen day deadlock in October 1962 because of the setting up of Soviet missiles armed with nuclear force on Cuba, which is ninety miles of the shores of the United states. Following the news of the nuclear threat, plenty of people feared that the world was close to a nuclear war. Catastrophe was evaded as the United States arranged with the leader of the Soviets Nikita Khrushchev’s to eliminate the Cuban missiles and therefore promised to not occupy and invade Cuba.
  • Berlin Wall

    Berlin Wall
    The Berlin Wall effectively parted the city of Berlin. The Berlin Wall was in use from 1961 till 1989. It separated Communist people from the East of Berlin from the non-communists in the west. This blocked the Communist citizens from seeing or entering the other side (west) which was mostly because they didn’t want them (communist people) to see how the non-communist people were living on the other half of Berlin which was effectively an a lot better life with a lot better conditions.
