Berlin blockade
The blockade was one of the first major international event of the Cold War. the Russians lead a blockade of supply's to west Berlin. The Russians wanted to make people starve until they joined them to be com. then the Berlin airlift started america started to bring in food and water to the people in Berlin -

the space race was a time where the different high powered countries built and quickly made there way to the moon. the first man in space was Yuri Alekseyevich Gagarin. -
Korean War
The Korean War began with north Korean attacked south Korea. North Korea was winning and pushing south Korea back. When south Korea was lost they called the Americans to help so they did they pushed back North Korea. -

In 1954 North Vietnam forced the French government out. They wanted to unite the whole country under one communist government. The U.S. helped defend South Vietnam from the communist take over. -

this was the very first artificial Earth satellite it was built by the Russians and it was launched by the Russians. it has radio transitions that spy's can send in information. -

there was a spy plane in the Soviet airspace and they shot it down and captured the pilot. the USA told the Soviets that the CIA had been spying on them for 7 years. -
