David starts to have futuristic dreams
At a very early age David starts to have dreams of seeing the future with advanced technology, airplanes, cars, and other things he's never seen. -
David meets Sophie
David encounters a girl he's never seen before in Waknuk, her name is Sophie. As he gets to know her he sees why he's never met her before. -
The sixth toe
As David and Sophie were playing by the river, Sophie hurts her ankle and is forced to take her shoe off and reveals that she has a sixth toe. Which means shes a deviant. -
Waknuk founding families and beliefs
Davids family, (the Strorms) is the founding family of Waknuk. Which wants to bring life back to the way of the Old People before tribulation. Waknuk is a very religious community, who's beliefs are based off of the book of Repentance's, by Nicholson. This cause the society to have a strong hatred for deviants. -
David wishes for a third arm
David gets a splinter in his hand and jokes that if he had a third hand he would be able to get it out easier. But his family takes it a whole different way. Making him beg for forgiveness for wishing he was a deviant as he gets whipped from his dad. After he dreams that Sophie gets found for being a deviant and is executed by his father. -
Telepathy
David's Uncle Axel is introduced and catches David talking to other kids who aren't close to them. David then explains that him and a few friends can send think pictures to each other. Uncle Axel then explains how David and the others can't ever be caught sending think pictures because its considered a deviation. -
The Fringes
The Fringes is a place where deviants are sent to live. The Fringe people invade surrounding communities for food and resources. They invade Waknuk and two deviants are caught and David manages to see the both and sees that one looks a lot like his father Joseph Strorm. -
Sophie is found out
Sophie and David were playing at the river when Alan Ervin comes over and is startled by the girl he's never seen before. He looks in the water at her feet and realizes she has an extra toe. And immediately makes a run at her, David tries to fight off Alan to protect Sophie. Alan is knocked unconscious when Sophie throws a rock at his head. -
Petra
David is introduced to his new sister Petra, his Aunt Harriet hears of their new baby and comes to ask her sister to help forge a certificate for her baby who is a deviant. But Joseph comes home and learns what Harriet wants and tells her to leave immediately. -
Aunt Harriet is found dead

Petra turns six and they learn she also has telepathic powers.

Anne decides to get married
Anne a member of the telepaths decides she wants to marry Alan Ervin. The same person who found out of Sophies deviation. The group tries to tell her she cant marry becuase if she slips the whole group would be exposed and killed. But she decides to marry anyways. But Alan is found dead six months later with an arrow in his neck, Anne grieves very hard over his death, and her sister came to check up on her and finds her dead, hanging from a beam. -
Petra has the strongest powers out of the group

Sally and Katherine get captured
They get captured and tortured for information and warn the others to leave Waknuk immediately. As Waknuk is on a hunt for them, Petra comes in contact with a Women from Sealand. -
Sealand Women
She warns the others to protect Petra at all costs and they learn that almost everyone in Sealand is a telepath -
The Fringes people capture them and take back to the Fringes

Fringes
They meet Gordon the leader of the Fringes, who is Josephs brother. He kicks David out and keeps Rosalind and Petra for breeding purposes. -
Sophie is back
Sophie finds David just outside of the camp beat up and wounded so she drags him back to her cave to help him -
Sophie decides to help
David sees that the Fringes has changed Sophie a lot. He explains why they are there and tells her that they need to go get Rosalind and Petra, she goes and kills the man keeping watch of them and brings them back to her cave. -
The fight
Michael warns them that Waknuk is going to invade the Fringes, Gordon locates Joseph in the battle and kills him, Sophie and Gordon are also killed during the battle.A huge white ship comes spraying sticky almost web like strings. They cover everyone and no one can move. -
They leave for Sealand

The Rescue
The Sealand people have come to rescue them, and remove the sticky webs from the telepaths. Everyone else is killed by it, Michael decides to stay with Rachel.
