  • Sugar act

    Sugar act
    The act said the British is taxing the colonies for sugar, rum, molasses,and syrup. So that Britain could keep getting money for there huge debt
  • Quartering Act

    Quartering Act
    The Act said that soldiers would be sent to the colonies to protect them from getting injured. They had to do this because the colonies were there "property" and if they got killed or injured it would be Britain's fault.
  • The Stamp Act

    The Stamp Act
    The act said that the colonists had to pay for a stamp on any paper or document. So that even though it wasn't food the colonists still had to pay a tax for something.
  • The Townshed Act

    The Townshed Act
    The act said that anything imported would have a tax on it. It was a small tax but still a tax so they could get making extra money.
  • The Tea Act

    The Tea Act
    The Act said that people had to pay an extra tax for tea. Everyone loved tea so it made people very upset

    This act was passed because Great Britain was losing control of the 13 colonies. So they had it so nobody could load or leave with ships from Boston

    These acts were passed so that Britain could try to keep control of the 13 colonies. Nobody could have meeting without the governor. Anyone that had committed a crime had to go to Britain for trial.

    This act was passed so that the people in Quebec could have more freedom and practice there own religion. Also Quebec would get more land.
