    Quartering Act
    The act said that the colonies have to give shelter to the british soldiers in their houses regardless of their will. The act agin shows that the British has the supreme command and they can subdue whoever they want in the colonies. The British were the almighty and the most powerful.

    The purpose of the Townshend Acts was made to create a more effective means of enforcing compliance with trade regulations, to punish the province of New York for failing to comply with the 1765 Quartering Act, and to establish the precedent that the British Parliament had the right to tax the colonies
  • Boston Massacre

    Boston Massacre
    It is a event in which British Army soldiers killed five male civilians and injured six others. British soldiers in order to protect and support crown-appointed colonial officials attempting to enforce unpopular Parliamentary legislation. This angred the colonial greatly. And the accused soldier were sent to England to face trial where they were not punished accordingly. It shows that the british ccan do whatever they want and they will get away easily.
  • Tea Act

    This was supposed to convince the colonists to purchase Company tea on which the Townshend duties were paid, thus implicitly agreeing to accept Parliament's right of taxation. The Act granted the Company the right to directly ship its tea to North America and the right to the duty-free export of tea from Britain, although the tax imposed by the Townshend Acts and collected in the colonies remained in force. This act met with huge resistance from the crowd.

The demonstrators, some disguised as American Indians, destroyed an entire shipment of tea sent by the East India Company, in defiance of the Tea Act of May 10, 1773. This was the first major protest in colonial america.

    The First Continental Congress was a convention of delegates from twelve colonies (Georgia was not present) that met on September 5, 1774, at Carpenters' Hall in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, early in the American Revolution. It was called in response to the passage of the Coercive Acts (also known as Intolerable Acts by the Colonial Americans) by the British Parliament. First sucessful colonial unity.
