    English troops went to seize the patriot’s supplies, but instead ran into a troop of minute men. A few shots were fired then eventually stopped. The minute men and a few other militias followed and fired on them the entire way home. The British did not take the patriots supplies because they were able to move the supplies and the people they were after.

    The red coats defeated the patriots trying to carry out their plan of cutting them off from trade by captuing areas of Newyork. This was very effective and a blow to the support from the Americans.

    Patriot troops planned a surprise attack on British troops and sailed all night on christmas. When they arrived the troops were caught off gaurd and the patriots won. This was important because now they have trenton they can try and go back for the other important supply towns they had lost previously.
