    The French and Indian War

    The French and Indian War was a war between England and the French where the Native Americans were allies to the French due to conflict with the English.
  • The Stamp Act

    Because of a large debt remaining from wars with other countries, England decided to tax the colonies in America for more than was fair to regain wealth and assert control in the new world.
  • Boston Non-Importation Agreement

    On this day, the merchants in Boston agreed to stop importing and exporting things to and from England in order to avoid the harsh taxing.

    The Boston Massacre was what started as People throwing snowballs at Redcoats that turned into the soldiers opening fire on civilians that angered many.

    This act was not to increase taxes, but to have the East India Trading company which was taking a bad turn ship it's tea directly to the colonies where it would be sold for a very low price. The colonists thought that this might undermine the local merchants.

    The Boston Tea Party was the direct result of The Tea Act when some people snuck onto the tea ships during the night and threw the tea overboard into the harbor.
