    The Beginning of the Enlightenment
    The Enlightenment period was the start of and inspiration for the French and American Revolution. The Enlightenment period inspired many to write books, essays and even laws. It really brought more good to the people than bad.
  • The French Indian War

    The French Indian War
    he French and Indian war was also referred to as the seven years' war. It was originally a conflict between the French and Great Britain but it later became between the Native Americans and the British. Due to this conflict the British gained lots of land in the Americas.
  • The Sugar Act

    The Sugar Act
    The sugar act was the act of the British putting taxes on sugar and other important things like wine. They did so because they wanted money to have to buy more security for themselves against conflicts with foreign countries. This act made many colonist protest against the British ways.
  • The Stamp Act

    The Stamp Act
    The stamp act was passed by the British Parliament to the Colonist to pay tax on every printed paper they used. Just like the sugar act the money collected would be used to protect the frontiers of the Americas. The colonist believed that if this type of law was passed so easily without the content from the colonist legislature than any other law can be passed, which made them nervous.

    The Boston Tea Party
    The boston tea party or also know as the tea act was passed by the parliament which granted the British East India Tea Company monopoly on tea sales in the colonies. It was the last straw for the colonists on the ridiculous taxation. Due to the Tea act some on the "sons of Liberty" went on 3 ships and spilled gallons of tea into the Boston harbor, it also stopes all new taxes being passed.
  • Battle of Lexingtion and Concord

    The Battle of Lexington and Concord was the battle that pretty much started the American Revolution War. The battle was between the colonist and the british authourity. The British went into Concord from Boston. Thats where the saying "The Redcoats are coming" from Paul Revere was shouted to inform the Colonists about the attack.
  • Thomas Paine publishes Common Sense

    Thomas Paine publishes Common Sense
    Thomas Paine published a pamphlet named "Common Sense" in 1776, which was infavor of the American Independence. The pamphlet sold like crazy, Thomas Paine was just telling the truth and opening peoples eyes on the mistreatment of the colonist by the British. It was publishes anonymously but later it bacame a huge impact in American history.

    The Declaraction of Independence was pretty much a break up letter to the British from the Colonists. The congress got together and wrote a documents stating why they are taking their freedom back from the British. We celebrate the day, July 4, as Independence day.

    The Tea Act
    The tea act was passed by the parliament which granted the British East India Tea Company monopoly on tea sales in the colonies. It was the last straw for the colonists on the ridiculous taxing on tea. only two years later the Revolutionary War began.
  • Treaty of Paris

    The Treaty of Paris was the offical ending of the Revolutionary War. It marked the independence of the 13 Colonies.
  • Shay's Rebellion

    Shay's Rebellion was a series of protest that were help by American farmer against enforcement of tax collectors and the judgement of debt. Which pretty much was the protest against how often the tax collectors would collect the tax. In some states farmers would be threatened to have their farm taken away from them due to the jedgement by certain collectors.
  • Constitutional Convention

    Constitutional Convention
    The Constitutional Convention was a convention to discuss the new task the Colonist were faced with, the new government system. Since they had independence from British they werent in the same government system any longer. The convention and all the ideas helped write the Constitution which is the Law of the Land to this day.
