Tex (15) and Mason (17)
The most improtant thing to mason was bascketball and the most important thing to Tex was Negrito. Mason and Tex's mother died from pneumonia. Their father was in the rodeo. They lived by themselves -
Johnny and Tex
Johnny Collins and Tex were best friends. Johnny got a dirt bike so Johnny was giving Tex a ride to school. Mason doesn't like that Tex is Friends with Johnny. -
selling the horse and the fight
Mason sold Negrtio because they needed money. Tex got really mad and they started to fight. Mason hit Tex above the eye and gave him a cut. -
Going to the Fair
Tex and Johnny ended up goign to the rodeo with Bob. They rode rides and played games. Then they ran into Jamie ans one of her friends. Next they go over to the fortune teller.Tex, Johnny and Jamie wanted to know if the fortune teller was real or fake. Tex found out that she was fake. -
Going to see Charlie
Bob Collins takes his girlfriend, Johnny, and Tex to Charlie Collins. Charlie was having a party. Charlie handed the boys a drink and they went home drunk. -
Tex waking up to Cole Collins voice
The next day Tex wakes up to Cole yelling at Mason asking where tex was and why his boys came home drunk. Cole thought it was all Tex's fault. Cole wanted to know where they got it and told Mason that Johnny won't be hanging out with Tex anymore. Then Lem showed up the same day. -
Tex's Art Work
Tex's is in art class and he is given an art project that is due Friday. Tex's waits till the last minute to due his art project. He takes toothpicks and glue. As the art teacher walks by looking at all the art project Tex's waits till she gets close and sets his art work on fire and watches it go up in flame. The teacher send him to Mrs. Jonshon and talks to her. -
Tex jumps the creek
Tex and Johnny was fighting. Johnny was out at the rock quarry jumping slopes. All the kids that were out there were talking about jumping the creek and Johnny volunteered to jump the creek. Johnny headed up the the track and Johnny chickened out and his breaks at the last minute.Tex jumped the creek. Johnny hurt his leg and Tex hurt his back. -
Mason and Tex going to the city
Mason told Tex that he had to go into the city to the hospital for some test. Tex was excited and couldn't wait to get to the city. Mason didn't want Tex to go in with him so he told him that he could take the truck to the mall and gop shop. -
Tex goign to the Mall
Tex let Mason off at the hosptial and headed to the mall. He found a store that sold fishing stuff. He looked for a fishing lure for Mason because he liked to fish. Tex put the lure in his shirt pocket to look at a gun. The sale clerk walked up to Tex and said we take stealind serious around here. The sale clerk took Tex back to the main guy to tell him what he did. All Tex said was I was going to pay for that. But then finely they let him out and to not steal. Then he went to get Mason. -
All the attention
A cop comes up to the truck ands ask Mason and Tex if they were alright. The cops tell them that he escape from jail. Tex got out and looked at the body just laying on the ground. Mason and Tex were interviewed by alot of new people. -
Going to Mc Donlads
Tex and Mason goes to Mc Donalds. Tex order a lot of food and Mason order nothing. He said he wasn't very hungry but he finley told Tex what was wrong with him. He had an ulcer. He also told Tex that he was throwing up blood after basketball last week. -
Going to see Lem
While their in the city they go to see Lem. When they get to Lem's house, his wife Connie greeted them. Connie brought the baby in to show Tex and Mason. Lem told them to see his new car. They were like wow! Lem took Tex and Mason for a ride in his new car. Mason asked how he got the money for the car and Mason was alittle mad and he asked how Connie felt about that. All he said was I have a baby and wife to take care of. -
Heading home
Tex and Mason were heading home when they saw a hitchhiker. Mason told him to stop and Mason moved to the middle of the truck. The hitchhiker got into the truck and they started driving. The hitchhiker asked where they were going and told them where he was going. Mason was acting odd, Tex looked down the hitchhiker had a gun puched up in Masons rib. The hitchhiker told Tex to keep driving. Tex notice that their was a cop behind them and he wrecked the truck and the cops got the guy. -
All teh phone calls
When Tex and Mason finley got home they watch the interview they did today on the tv. After they watched the tv they got a milloin phone calls so Mason took the phone off the hook. Then Mason and Tex smoke a joint. Mason finley puts the phone on the hook and not even five seconds teh phone rang. It was Pop. Mason wasn't so happy but Tex was. He told he would be home in the morning. -
The day Pop arrives
Pop was at the house the next day. Tex was excited and MAson acted liek he could care less. Pop thought it was Tex's birthday but it was October 22nd. Pop asked where the horses were. Mason told them he had to sell them for money. Pop told Tex that he would get Negrito. -
Getting back Negrito
Mason and Tex went to try to get Negrito back. The little girl didn't want to give back Negrito. Tex was really mad at Mason. He told Mason that he hated him. -
Jamie and Tex
Jamie and Tex get together. They both loved each other but Tex moved to fast and made Jamie mad. They didn't talk for awhile. -
At School
Tex and Johnny got suspended from school. Tex stayed in the office all day until Pop got to the school. Tex went outside and saw Lem sitting by his car. Lem said that he had a buisness to do later in town. Lem was smoking a joint.. Tex talked to him for alittle bit then went back to the office. Tex smelled like he had been smoking but he told the ladies that he wasn't smoking. The lady told him to sit down. -
Johnny and Tex
Johnny and Tex glue caps on the tpye writers and they got into big trouble. They were going to be suspended from school. The school called the boys father. Mason came in and told them that Pop wouldn't be here to latter. Cole came in blaming everything on Tex. He said if Johnny wasn't friends with Tex, Johnny wouldn't be in this mess. -
Pop and Mason arrives at school
Mason walked in first then Pop walked in. They talked for awhile then Mason was getting madder and madder. Tex got mad that Mason was always poking his nose in Tex business. Mason knew that Pop wouldn't take this serious and he was telling Tex that he does care and doesn't want him to get expelled. Then Mason said that he is still my brother if he isn't your son. Tex thought Mason had lost it. All Pop could say was "Who Told You That". Tex was waitiing for Pop to say he is my kid. -
Running Out
Tex yelled at Mason and ran out. Tex was running somewhere but he didn't know where but he was running. Lem was yelling his name and he stoped and got in the car with Lem. Tex told Lem that he was going with him to the city with him. Lem said that he would'nt be able to bring him back home but Tex didn't care, all he could think about that he wasn't Pop's kid and why didn't anyone tell him. Lem said he had to do something.Tex thought that he could get into the same business as Lem. -
Drug Deal
They went into this guys house to give him his stuff.Tex wasn't listening to what Lem and Kelly was talking about. Then he was thinking that he wanted out of this and said he was leaving. Kelly pulled a gun and said no one is going anywhere. Tex reached for the doorknob then he shot Tex and Tex got teh gun and pointed it at him and Lem was yelling at Tex saying dont Tex. Then he left and noicted that he was shot and asked to be let off at the store. He called Jamie telling her to call 911. -
Waking Up
Tex woke up and Mason was in the room. Mason was there the whole time. Pop tells him about his mom and what happened when he went to the pen. Then Johnny, Jamie, and Cole come in to see him. Tex also learned about his real dad.
