Saul Alive

Period: 1082 BCE to 1010 BCE

Saul lived to 72 years old. Saul had a lot of concubines and wives. Saul committed suicide after losing a battle, so he wouldn't be tortured by the enemy.

Saul Anointed

1050 BCE

Saul was anointed king by Samuel when he was searching for his father's donkeys. Saul thought he didn't deserve to be king. But obeying God's command.

Saul Sins

1048 BCE

Saul starts to get prideful and begins to follow himself instead of God. He build an altar only priests were allowed to make. And he started sinning and wasn't sorry for it, so God rejected him as king.

David Annointed

1048 BCE

God told Samuel to go to the house of Jesse and God would tell him which son to anoint. Samuel went through all the sons until there was one left, the youngest, David. And there David was anointed while Saul was still alive.

David Kills Goliath

1045 BCE

Goliath was a minimum of 9 feet. And the Israelite average height is around 5 ft. So almost double. Saul was the one supposed to be the one fighting him, but he was afraid.

Jonathon warns David

1025 BCE

Jonathan warns David that his father is angry and wants to kill David because he found out David was anointed, king. He shoots an arrow and yells "it is farther from you" and that was a sign to David that Saul was angry. David then had to run and hide and only saw Jonathan once more before he died.

David's two chances to kill Saul

1024 BCE

Saul tried to kill David for years but never succeeded. David could have killed Saul twice in that time but didn't because he loved Saul and couldn't kill the Lord's anointed.

Saul chasing David

Period: 1024 BCE to 1012 BCE

Saul chased David for about a decade. In 1024 to 1012. Even though Saul tried to kill David, David still loved Saul. David spared Saul's life multiple times too.

Jonathan and Saul die

1010 BCE

Jonathon dies in battle along with his brothers and father. Jonathon and David had a very strong relationship as friends. Jonathon and David both would have been willing to lay down their life for their friend.

David as king

Period: 1010 BCE to 970 BCE

David was a fairly good king. He made big mistakes but was always sorry for what he did. He was truly a man after God's own heart.

Mephibosheth

1005 BCE

David tries to find descendants of his best friend after he died, so he could show love and kindness to him. Because Jonathan and David made a promise that they would look after the others children and show kindness. And Mephibosheth was the only one. And Mephibosheth was like a son to David.

Bathsheba

1000 BCE

David was king during this time, and he was on his balcony thinking when he saw Bathsheba. She was bathing and David loved her and wanted her as a wife. Another fact about Bathsheba is that her grandfather hung himself.

David's child dies

999 BCE

David committed adultery and the punishment for that was that the child was going to die. The child had an illness and only lived 7 days. And also he killed the woman's husband, so that she could be his wife.

David allows Absalom to return from exile

982 BCE

Absalom was exiled for killing his older brother because he was mad for what Ammon (his brother) did to his sister. Joab, the commander of David's army was the one that convinced David to let Absalom return. Absalom later rebelled and tried to take away David's kingdom.

King Hiram's Life

Period: 980 BCE to 926 BCE

King Hiram was the Tyre king. He was very wealthy and helped Solomon a lot in building the temple. He was a lot older than Solomon and was friends with David.

Adonijah crowns himself king

971 BCE

Adonijah is David's oldest son and he wants to be king instead of Solomon. He ends of fleeing to the temples altar for safety.

David's death

970 BCE

David was 70 when he died. He had 8 wives and a lot of concubines. Solomon his son, was to be king after him even though he wasn't the oldest.

David anointing Solomon

970 BCE

When David is about to die, he anointed Solomon so that none of his other sons can reign.

Solomon's reign

Period: 970 BCE to 931 BCE

Solomon was around 60 years old when he died. He followed God like his father David until he was turned. He had peace in the land and he had wealth and honor. Solomon made a lot of mistakes and married idol worshipers.

Solomon Askes For Wisdom

968 BCE

The Lord came to Solomon and asked what he wanted. And instead of being selfish, he asked to have wisdom. And God blessed him even more.

Queen Sheba Visits Solomon

965 BCE

Queen Sheba had heard that Solomon was wealthy and wanted to see it for herself. And she saw Solomon's wisdom and her breath was taken away. Solomon was so rich that silver was equal to a stone on the side of the road.

Solomon Building The Temple

957 BCE

Solomon finished building the temple in 957 B.C. Solomon was in his teens when he was building the temple. Solomon was 15 when he became king.

Solomon Worships Idols

940 BCE

Solomon had 300 concubines so he could worship the kids to moleck. They would burn the kids alive. Solomon became corrupt. He turned away from God and worshiped his wives' gods.

Solomon dies

931 BCE

Solomon dies at a old age. He had forgotten God and thought life was meaningless. He worshiped Idols and was very fallen from the man he used to be.

Rehoboam

Period: 931 BCE to 914 BCE

Rehoboam was the son of Solomon. He reigned for 17 years over Judah. The kingdom was divided when he was reigning and Israel was led by Jeroboam.

Jeroboams Reign

Period: 931 BCE to 910 BCE

Jeroboam reigned for 21 years. He was sinful and did not follow God. He was king over Israel. While Rehoboam was king over Judah.

The Kingdom Splitting

929 BCE

After Rehoboam was making the people pay high taxes and being cruel to the people, the people got mad. They rebelled and some left the kingdom and made Judah a new kingdom. One kingdom had 9 tribes the other had 3.

Golden Calves

928 BCE

The Golden Calves were built by Jeroboam. After the first few years of being king, he decided to make to golden calves. Since then, the worship of the golden calves never really disappeared and was a idol that was worshiped a lot.

Abijam/Abijah

Period: 914 BCE to 911 BCE

Abijam reigned for 3 years. He went to war against Jeroboam, he was the son of Rehoboam. He did what was evil in the sight of the Lord and was bosting about having the priests. (Judah)

Asa reign + his Grandmother

Period: 911 BCE to 870 BCE

Asa followed God and was a good king. He reigned 41 years over Judah and removed his mother as queen because she worshiped Idols. He goes against Baasha in war.

Nadab

Period: 910 BCE to 908 BCE

He was the second king to reign Israel after the kingdom split. He was the son of Jeroboam. He reigned for 2 yrs. and was killed in battle against Baasha. He did what was evil in the sight of the Lord.

Baasha's Reign

Period: 908 BCE to 884 BCE

Baasha reigned over Israel. He was evil and did what was wrong in the eyes of the Lord. And the Lord destroyed him. And a prophet told Baasha that all his family when they die were going to be eaten by animals. He reigned for 24 years.

Asa's Battle

887 BCE

For the first 10 years of his reign, there was peace. Asa goes to war and fights1 million men with 1/2 a million men. And Asa killed them all and won the battle.

Elah''s Reign

Period: 884 BCE to 882 BCE

Elah was the son of Baasha and reigned over Israel. He reigned for 2 years and did what was evil in the sight of the Lord. Zimri killed Elah.

Zimris Reign

882 BCE

Zimri burns down the palace so no one else could have the kingdom. He was a very bad king. He reigned for 7 days before killing himself because he was trapped by omri. He reigned over Israel.

Omri's Reigns

Period: 882 BCE to 870 BCE

Omri was the worst king up to this point. He was evil and not a good king. He was the king over Israel, but only half of Israel. Reigned 12 years.

Asa's God

878 BCE

Asa destroys idols and repaired the altar of the Lord. And he trusted and obeyed God and people from Israel went to Judah because Asa was such a good king. Asa offers 7,000 sheep.

Asa's Sickness

872 BCE

Asa relied on Syria and not God. And as punishment, God says he will have wars for the rest of your life. And in his 39th year, he gets a sickness in his feet and dies.

Ahab's Reign

Period: 870 BCE to 848 BCE

Ahab reigns over Israel. He was evil and worshiped Idols. He married Jezebel and was alive when Elijah was. He reigns 22 years and is the son of Omri.

Jehoshaphat's Reign

Period: 870 BCE to 845 BCE

Jeh. was a good and faithful king. He loved the Lord and trusted in him. He reigned for 25 years and was king over Judah.

God Provides for Elijah

853 BCE

During a long drought, God keeps providing for Elijah. Ravens brought food and God provided a brook for drinking. Later God gives a miracle to a widow, so she can provide for her, her son, and Elijah.

Mount Carmel

850 BCE

People of Baal were sacrificing to Baal and cutting themselves, begging their god to show Elijah that he was the real god. And Elijah was mocking them because their god wasn't doing anything. Then when it was Elijah's turn can and he prayed and God sent fire to burn up the altar, and everything around it.

Mountain of God

849 BCE

Elijah is running from Jezebel and he is visited by an angel. The angel gives him food and Elijah doesn't eat or sleep for 40 days because of the food. Then he goes to a cave and God talks to Elijah. God asks "what are you doing here?" God also tells Elijah to anoint two kings and the next prophet. But he only anoints one: Elisha

Elijah Anoints Elisha

848 BCE

Elijah puts his coat on Elisha. That meant that he would be the next prophet in the bible. And Elisha followed him

Ahaziah's Reign

Period: 848 BCE to 846 BCE

Ahaziah only reigned for 2 years in Israel. Moab was rebelling and they go to war. Ahaziah falls off a house and is injured. And Elijah told the king that he would die. Ahaziah sends 51 men to get rid of Elijah. God sends fire to burn up the 51 men. Twice this happens. Then the third group of men is sent and they beg for their lives. And Elijah spares them. Ahaziah dies.

Jehu's Reign

Period: 846 BCE to 818 BCE

Jehu Reigns over Israel for 28 years. He is going to the king and riding and the king's messager comes and asks him why he is coming and Jehu says "come follow me" and the messager does. And it happens twice. Then the 2 king comes to Jehu and they realize he is against them and turn to run away and Jehu shoots them with arrows. And they die. And he gets 2 men to throw Jezebel out a window and he runs over her after she is thrown down through a window.

Jehoshaphat's Battle

845 BCE

A prophet of God told Jehoshaphat that he was going to win the battle. So Jehoshaphat told the choir to go in front of his army because he trusted God to win the battle. And when the enemy heard the choir they started attacking themselves till no one was standing. Jehoshaphat didn't loss a single man and won the battle.

Jehoram's Reign

Period: 845 BCE to 837 BCE

Jehoram is Jehoshaphat's son. Jehoram reigns for 8 years over Judah. He is an evil king and does what is evil in he sight of the Lord. Jehu kill him.

Ahab and Ben-Hadad

842 BCE

Ben-Hadad wants Ahab's gold, silver, wives, and his children. And Ahab agrees. Then Ben-Hadad said I want to let my messages take whatever they want. Ahab said no. So they went to battle and the Israelites win.

Ahab and Naboth

840 BCE

Ahab goes to Naboth and askes to buy his vineyard and Naboth says no. Ahab goes home and starts to pout and cry facing a wall not talking to anyone. And Jezebel goes to criminals and they spread lies about Naboth cursing God and the king. And the elders of the city stone Naboth and Ahab gets the vineyard. And a prophet tells Ahab that all his family will be eaten by dogs. And Ahab goes home and repents and God says he will not destroy his family in his life time, but in his sons.

Ahaziah's Reign

837 BCE

Ahaziah reigns for 1 year over Judah. He is the son of Jehoram and Athaliah. The grandson of Jehoshaphat. Jehu killed him.

Athaliah Reign's

Period: 837 BCE to 830 BCE

Athaliah reigns for 7 years over Israel. She was evil and was the daughter of Ahab. Athaliah destroys David's line.

Ahab's Death

836 BCE

Machia tells Ahab he is going to die in battle. Ahab doesn't like this and throws him in prison. And Ahab disguises himself and goes to battle and is hit by a random arrow and dies.

Elijah and Elisha

832 BCE

Elijah is getting old and Elisha asks for double portion of Elijah's spirit. A fiery chariot with horses come and Elijah goes up to the heaven. Elisha then goes and splits the water and walks away.

Elisha

831 BCE

A town needed good water, so Elisha gets a new jar and puts salt in it and throws it into the water. And the water becomes good.

Elisha and the She-bears

830 BCE

Boys are making fun of Elisha and he curses them. And two she-bears come out and kill 42 of the boys.

Joash's Reign

Period: 830 BCE to 790 BCE

Joash begins to reign over Judah when he was 7. He was a good king when Jehoiada the priest was alive. But after he died, Joash turned away from God and turned to Idols. His Princes and Serants killed him because he was a weak leader. He reigned for 40 years.

Jehoam

Period: 826 BCE to 846 BCE

Jehoram the brother of Ahaziah, reigns over Israel. Jehoram wants to defeat Moab, so he wants allies. Edom and Jehoshaphat help him. Their armies haven't eaten or drank anything for 7 days. So they send for Elisha. And Elisha and God provide water in a desert. The whole desert was full of water. Moab mistook the water for the blood of the armies. So they went into the camp to get the spoil and are attacked by the armies. And they defeat Moab.

Oil and Jars

825 BCE

A woman was in debt and was threatened by the debt collector to take her sons away as slaves for 7 years. The widow goes to Elisha and asked for him to help her. And he said to get anything that holds liquid and pour her little jar of oil and fill up all the pots. And the woman pays of the debt.

Jehoahaz's Reign

Period: 818 BCE to 801 BCE

J. reigned for 17 years in Israel. He was evil and did the sins of his father. His father was Joash and he was killed by an army.

Shunamite Woman's Son

815 BCE

A rich man and a woman had no children. They liked Elisha so they built a room just for him. And Elisha is so flattered, that he blesses her with a son. 10 years later the son dies and the woman goes to Elisha and talks to him. Elisha goes to the house and raises the son from the dead.

Elisha and Naaman

810 BCE

Naaman is a rich man, but he had leprosery. Naaman goes to Elisha to get healed. He has to take a bath 7 times in mucky water and he gets healed.

Jehoash Reign

Period: 801 BCE to 785 BCE

He reigned for 16 years over Israel. His father was Jehoahaz. He did what was evil in the sight of the Lord, and he died.

Amaziah's Reign

Period: 790 BCE to 761 BCE

He reigned 29 years over Judah. He started to reign when he was 25 years old. He did what was good in the sight of the Lord.

Jeroboam II

Period: 785 BCE to 744 BCE

Jeroboam reigned for 41 years over Israel. He did what was evil in the sight of the Lord. His father was Joash.

Uzziah's Reign

Period: 761 BCE to 709 BCE

Uzziah began king at 16 years old. Reigned for 52 years over Judah. He did what was right in the eyes of the Lord. He gets proud and wants to burn incense which is a priest's job. The priest tells him he can't offer it and he gets mad and God strikes his face with leprosy. His son reigns in his place. He also won his wars against the philistines.

Zechariah's Reign

744 BCE

Zechariah was a bad king and was evil. He reigned 6 months over Israel.

Shallum's Reign

744 BCE

He was evil and bad. He reigned for a month. He was the son of Jabesh. reigned over Israel.

Menahem's Reign

Period: 744 BCE to 734 BCE

He was an evil king and reigned over Israel. He reigned 10 years and died. Ripped open people.

Pekahiah's Reign

Period: 735 BCE to 733 BCE

He reigned 2 years over Israel. He was evil and wicked. His father was Menahem.

Pekah's Reign

Period: 733 BCE to 713 BCE

He was evil and wicked. He reigned 20 years over Israel. His father was Remaliah.

Uzziah's Fall

730 BCE

He gets proud and wants to burn incense which is a priest's job. The priest tells him he can't offer it and he gets mad and God strikes his face with leprosy.

Hosea's Reign

Period: 713 BCE to 704 BCE

Reigned for 9 years over Israel. He was evil and was a servant to assyria. Assyrian king got mad and conquered all Israel.

Jotham's Reign

Period: 709 BCE to 693 BCE

He was 25 years old when he became king. He reigned over Judah for 16 years. He did what was right in the eyes of the Lord. Uzziah's son. Ahaz his son reigns in his place.

Ahaz's Reign

Period: 693 BCE to 677 BCE

He was a bad king and did child sacrifice. His son was Hezekiah who was a good king. He reigned for 16 years over Judah.

Hezekiah's Reign

Period: 677 BCE to 648 BCE

Hezekiah was a good king who followed God. He had faith in God and won a battle against the Assyrians. He got an extra 15 years to live and the sun went backward 10 hours. He reigned for 29 years over Judah.

Hezekiah's Passover

676 BCE

Calls the Levites to cleanse themselves and to start over. They have to push the Passover back because not enough priests are cleansed yet. Hezekiah prays to God to forgive the people for their sins. They sacrifice a lot of offerings and the people start to tide again.

Hezekiah and the Assyrians

670 BCE

Assyrians want to conquer Jerusalem. He sends a messenger to speak in Hebrew so all Judah can understand what he is saying to scare them. Assyrians' King sends a letter to Hezekiah and Hezekiah brings it to temple's altar and asked God if he is going to let the king talk about God that way. God then kills 185,000 Assyrians that night. Then the Assyrian king gets assassinated by his own sons.

Hezekiah's Sickness

663 BCE

Hezekiah is sick and is going to die and he prays to God. And says he has no children to pass on the covenant of God so God spares Hezekiah and gives him 15 more years. And as a sign the sun moves backward 10 hours.

Hezekiah and Babylon

658 BCE

Hezekiah shows Babylon everything in the kingdom including the temple. This is Hezekiah's first big mistake. God isn't pleased that he did that so God said Babylon would come and destroy and steal the temple while his son was reigning.

Manasseh's Reign

Period: 648 BCE to 593 BCE

Manasseh reigned for 55 years over Judah. He rebuilt the idols and was evil in the sight of the Lord. Manasseh shed a lot of innocent blood. He was the worst king in Judah and had the longest reign. Manasseh repented and worshipped the Lord.

Amon's Reign

Period: 593 BCE to 591 BCE

Amon reigned over Judah 2 years. He was evil and worshipped Idols. His son was Josiah and his father Manasseh. Servants associated him.

Josiah's Reign

Period: 591 BCE to 560 BCE

Josiah reigned for 31 years over Judah. He did what was good in the sight of the Lord and found the book of the law. He destroyed idols and later he did disobey and went to battle and died. He had the biggest Passover ever. The streets were clothed in blood.

8th year of Josiah

583 BCE

Josiah destroyed idols and idol worshippers. He also destroyed idols in Israel. It takes him around 10 years.

18th Year of Josiah

573 BCE

Josiah found the law/bible while rebuilding the temple. Josiah realizes that they haven't followed God. He reads it to the people and says there is destruction coming. But if we change maybe we change God's mind.

Jehoahaz's Reign

Period: 560 BCE to 560 BCE

He reigned 3 months over Judah. He was evil. His brother Jehoiakim took over as king when he is taken away to Egypt.

Jehoiakim's Reign

Period: 560 BCE to 549 BCE

He reigned 11 years over Judah. He did what was evil in the sight of the Lord. Babylon takes him away. His son reigns in his place.

Jehoiachin's Reign

Period: 549 BCE to 549 BCE

Jehoiachin reigned for 3 months and 10 days over Judah. He was carried off to Babylon after rebelling. So his brother reigned in his place. After a new Babylon king comes to power, he is released and is treated like royalty for the rest of his days.

Zedekiah's Reign

Period: 549 BCE to 538 BCE

Zedekiah reigned for 11 years over Judah. He did what was evil in the sight of the Lord. He rebels against Babylon and Babylon comes and conquers the land. Babylon kills his sons in front of him and then take his eyes out.
