The Sony Company made the first Playstation.
In 1998, Sony and Nintendo made an agreement to make a CD-ROM "super disc' but due to problems ,licensing, and contractual problems it was never published. So, Sony made a modified version in 1991 called the 'Play station'. -
The successor "The PS2"
The play station 2 is the first to offer backwards compatibililty for controllers and games.The first ones released had a specific bug/problem were the DVD region restriction to be bypassed.Another problem was hard and complex Emotion Engine which caused rushed through games for the PS2. -
The better successor 'The PS3"
The ps3 was lighter and thinner then other versions.This console had a feature that made it better then the other play stations which was the "The Playstation Network". It made players able to stream video, movies, and other online content.The PS3 was the first Blu-ray player in the market. -
The best and greatest successor "The PS4"
The most recent console, the ps4. This is more technical then the others from past years. It still has the playstation network feature but they added the ability to take screenshots and videos and stream. The controller has a pad in the middle other then juat a button. The one very different thing they added was 3-D functionality. -
The Future Successores
Through 1995 to 2013 Sony has made the PS, PS1, PS2, PS3, and PS4.Hopefully they will keep making this console for the future.
