Teachers will receive their laptops on the first day of our Summer Retreat.

Administrators and classified staff will be trained on using the ParentSquare communication system via a webinar.

We will introduce teachers to the digital resources we will be using as a school. We will focus on CK-12 resources.

This time will be set aside for teachers to find models of digital assignments and practice creating them for use in their classrooms.

Our summer orientation will allow us to explain and distribute student handbooks, which will include our Technology Use Agreement.

Our second summer PD week will include time for teachers to get trained on IlluminateEd (our chosen SIS) and ParentSquare.

Once the classrooms are built and technology is installed, we will have an orientation for our teachers that is activity-based to get them comfortable using the technology.

The students will receive their chromebooks on the second day of school.

The third day of school will have time set aside for students to learn how Google Classroom and GoogleDocs works via hands-on learning.

We will have an in-person parent training on our SIS and ParentSquare. The materials from the training will be uploaded to our website for those who were unable to attend.

Administrators will conduct walkthroughs in September with the idea of looking at how technology is being used in the classrooms.

October will be a time for teachers to conduct peer observations focused on technology use in classrooms.

On October 20th we will have a pupil free day for professional development. Part of that day will include teacher-led sessions on best practices for using technology for instruction.
