Computer
I use a computer in the classroom to mark attendance, find work, and write my lesson plans. This is also where I check emails and do all of my main work in the classroom. -
Paper
We use paper everyday in a classroom. This is where we give students material, take notes, and write notes. It is one of the most important aspects of a classroom. -
Printer
I use a printer to print things for the students to do work. They can also use it to print out projects they complete on the computers. -
Pencils
This is one of the greatest technological advances of our time. It allows for us to write and communicate. Pencils are huge in the classroom and important from day one. I always make sure I have them and my students do as well. -
Desks and Chairs
An advancement we forget about is desk and chairs. These tools allow for us to have personal space, yet create a community in a comfortable manner. It allows for us to sit up and complete a task. I believe this is an important aspect of technology and my classroom. -
Projector
I use a projector to teach group lesson and interactive lessons. It allows for the entire class to see one thing and for myself to follow along. I find them useful in group learning activities. -
Smart Board
I use this in my classroom for group learning activities. This allows for the students to interact with what we are doing. It keeps students engaged because it allows for direct contact with the learning. (Used best with interactive online learning programs) -
IPads
At my school the students each get their own IPad. This allows for them to complete online programs and research. It also allows for students to be able to write, film, and share documents with each other. It is a great educational tool. -
ST Math & Other Online Programs
ST Math is a program my school pay for and requires each student to complete. These computerized programs help students master skills and play interactive games while doing so. They have programs for all academics. -
Google & Other Search Engines
These sites allow for students to research material and get information. I use them often in my classroom when students have questions on background knowledge or need information for research.
