    Navigation Acts 1650's
    The purpose of the Navigation Act's was that it directed the trade between England and the colonists. It also prevented the colonist from sending certian products, such as sugar or tobacco, outside the area that made up Englan's empire. The outcome of the Navigation acts was that merchants wanted to make thier own manufactured goods and sell their products where they could get higher prices.
  • Proclamation of 1763

    Proclamation of 1763
    The purpose of the Proclamation of 1763 was to prevent more fighting and it also set the Appalachian Mountians as the temporary western boundary for the colonies. The outcome of the Proclamation of 1763 that it angered those who owned shares in land companies and were furious that Britian ignored their land claims.
  • Sugar Act 1764

    Sugar Act 1764
    The purpose of the Sugar Act was that it lowered the tax on imported molasses. It also let officers seize goods from smugglers without going to court. The outcome of the Sugar Act was that they hoped it would convince the colonists to pay the tax instead of smuggling.
  • Stamp Act

    The purpose of the Stamp Act was that they placed a tax on almost all printed material,including newspapers,wills, and playign cards. The outcome of the act was that the colonits protested and birned up ethegies that represented tax collectors.
  • Declaratory Act

    Declaratory Act
    The pupose of this act was that it stated that Parliament had the right to tax and make decisions for the British colonies "in all cases." The outcome of this act is that British merchants lost a lot of money and business
  • Townshend Acts

    Townshend Acts
    The purpose of the Townshend Acts wasd that it would apply only to imported goods, such as tea, glass, and paper with the tax being paid at the port of entry. The outcome of this act would be that clubs made to sabbotage the British.
  • Tea Act

    Tea Act
    The purpose of this act was that it allowed the British East India company a virtual monopoly, or scale control, of the trade for tea in America. The outcome of the act was that it let the company sell tea directly to shelter soldiers in their own homes.
  • Coercive Acts (Intolerable Acts)

    Coercive Acts (Intolerable Acts)
    This Act was intended to punish the people of Massachusetts for their resistance to British law. The outcome of this act was that it closed Boston Harbor until the Massachusetts coloniest paid for the ruined tea and also forced Bostonians to shelter soldiers in their own homes.
  • Quebec Act

    Quebec Act
    The purpose of this act was to set up a government for Quebec and also gave Quebec the area west of the Appalachians and north of the Ohio River. The oucome of this act was that colonists expressed their feelings in their name for the new laws- the Intolerable Acts.
