Story Workshop - Day 1 (Library)
Come into the library to use loose parts to create an introduction to story writing! The students can showcase their creativity. -

Pair, Share - Day 1 (Library)
Using the loose parts, students will verbally share their story with a partner, picking out the characters, setting, problem and solution. -

Document - Day 1 (Library)
Have students capture an image of their loose parts and upload it to SeeSaw. They can record and explain their images to the adults connected to their SeeSaw accounts. -

Plan - Day 2 (Classroom)
Using each student's picture, begin to plan using a graphic organizer, putting all ideas down on one page. -

Write - Day 3, 4, 5 (Classroom)
Using the planning page, begin writing stories with the students. Continue for however many days you need. If necessary, have some students write on a Google Doc for easy sharing. -

Online Tools - Day 6 (Library)
This is a day to learn a variety of apps that could be used - Book Creator, Tynker, ScratchJr., Shadow Puppet. There will be some interactive lessons and time to play around with each. -

Online Book Creations - Day 7, 8, 9 (Library)
Students will have chosen their preferred app, or the teacher can choose, whether they are looking to further develop coding or what works best for their class, and begin creating their stories. -

Self-Assessment and Presentations - Day 10 (Library)
Before presenting, have students complete a self-assessment. This could be done on a Google Form or paper. Next, share the students' books with one another! Either project onto the screen or pass their iPads around.
