Was the second japanese military war mainly fought against the republic of china and the Japanese empire. It started july 7 1937, and ended september 2 1945. The main reason japan invaded china was because the imperialism in east asia. -

German Blitzkrieg
This was a battle tactic used in WW2, it was mainly based upon speed involving tanks , footsoldiers, and sometimes planes. The master behind this strategy was Heinz Guderian, he looked and researed on new technology. -
Germany’s invasion of Poland
Germany invaded poland and Adolf Hitler claimed it was an act of defense but Britain and France did not care so they declared war on September 3. Germany wanted the land for more German citizen and to enslave who is not. -
Fall of Paris
This was a battle between the germans and france, and it only lasted a month. This battle was during the second world war and was involving the low countries. Hitler wanted to follow up on his victory over poland so he decided to attack france. -
Pearl Harbor
This was a surprise bombing attack on the U.S. from the Japanese imperialist. The Pearl Harbor Hawaii territory was bombed during this time. The Japanese and the United States have been waging war for decades before this event. The day after this attack president Roosevelt asked congress to declare war on Japan. -

On june 22, 1941 adolf hitler sent a massive force over to the soviet territory for them to invade. This event was during WW2, adolf sent them over there to inade and underestimated his enemy. Fighting a two front war that he could not win. -

This was a meeting between the german government and leadership. This event was held on january 20 and was also in Berlin suburb. This was a meeting about the questioning of jews. -

After 6 months have gone passed america and japan’s war lead out into the pacific and tested both of there skills. This battle consisted on a small island and mostly naval ships. This win over japan made them go into defensive positions and the U.S, go into offensive ones. -
Bataan Death March
This occured after the surrender of the U.S. on the main philippine island. Over 65,000 filipinos and american troops had to march 65 miles to prison camps. After the march they are tortured by the Japanese guards. -
Operation Gomorrah
This was a series of attacks and bombing of the Hamburg area throughout WW2. allies bombed factories and industrial plants trying to kill the civilians. -
Allied Invasion of Italy
The british 8th army invaded italy but on september 8 italy agreed on the allies surrender. But the british was invading on september 3 until the announcement of the surrender. It only was a week long and did not end with large amounts of deaths. -
D-Day, Normandy Invasion
This event happened on june 6, and american and british troops land along five beaches that were in France Normandy territory. All of the germans were liberated and they conquered the beaches of normandy and stated it was going to be the end of the war in europe. -
Battle of the Bulge
a major German offensive is launched against the Allies in the Ardennes Mountains, but the americans fought hard to hold the germans from advancing. Germany was advancing deeper into ardennes to capture important landmarks. This battle was the most costly to the U.S, and still had over 100,000 killed in action. -
Battle of Iwo Jima
This was a battle between the japanese and the united states, it only lasted a little more than a month. This battle consisted of the U.S, marines invading the island of Iwo Jima and taking it over. The battle was over after an american flag was raised after the war with the Japanese. -

This is a day celebrated by europe and it is most none as Victory in Europe day and is celebrated on march 8. This day is meant for the defeat of the Nazis and the rejoice of the fall of Hitler. The germans troops on the eighth layed down their weapons and didn’t want to fight. -
Dropping of the Atomic Bomb
America is the only country to use the atomic bomb during war, they bombed the Japanese city Hiroshima. Hitler was conducting research on the nuclear weapons but by time it was useful germany had fallen. It immediately killed 80,000 people and thousands more weeks after. -
VJ Day
This day is celebrated by the U.S. and is none as the victory over japan day. Japan surrendered on august 14 but the formal surrendering happened september 2. This day had brought an end to WW2 and the dramatic events were over. -
Potsdam Declaration
On this day it was a major loss to japan but a win for the U.S. and the allies, when japan declared the withdrawal of all Japanese forces. It was declared july 26 and japan was no long in the second world war. -
Operation Thunderclap
This event was also known as the firebombing of Dresdon, it occured on February 13 with a series of allied bombing against the germans. This event had over 125,000 deaths, this was in the top three for most destructive bombings. With this the germans were erging heavy on surrendering. -
Battle of Okinawa
This was a battle fought by the army and the U.S. marines against the Japanese on the Okinawa island. This was the bloodiest battle of the pacific, and was started on april 1. This was one of the last battles of WW2, and over 100,000 U.S. troops were advancing to japan after they took over the Okinawa island.
