    The Stamp Act was a law passeed by parliment that placed tax on printed matirials such as legal documents, news papers, and even playing cards. The coloniest thought it was not fair because they did not have a voice in goverment. There battle cry was: "no taxation with out representation"!
  • Sons of Liberty

    Sons of Liberty
    The Sons of Liberty were groups of coloniest that protested about the Stamp Act. Samuel Adams started the Sons of Liberty because he felt the stamp act wasn't fair. So the Sons of Liberty thretend the stamp agents and burned there houses down to scare them away.
  • The Townshen Acts

    The Townshen Acts
    The Townshen Act was a law saying that imported goods from England must be taxed like paper, wool, tea, and more. The Townshen Acts put new protest on the coloniest now so they removed the Stamp Acts on 1766. England hopes to regain the leadership from the coloniset with the Townshen Acts.

    Daughters of Liberty
    The Daughters of Liberty were groups of women who engoreged people to stop getting Brighitish goods. The Daughters of Liberty thought the " Townshen Acts" were not fai, so the Daughters of LIberty made clothes and tea instead of buying those items because they are taxed.

    One of the Bostonians Edward Garrick is yelling at the brightish soldier Hugh White. White gets mad and hits garrick, more people come to his aid while others started throwing oster shells, snow balls, and icesikills at him. White calls for more reinforecements and thats how the Boston Massacure begins. The Boston Massacure was a fight agansit the coloniest and the Brightish soldiers. 5 people died when this happend and the soldiers went to court. John Adams ( brother of Samuel Adams )

    Defended the soldiers and they were not giulty of murder. Now coloniest are getting more upset and angry because the Boston Massacure.

    The Committees of Correspondence were groups all over town that told others about the local events. Adams created this because he wants others to know about the events. The people who deliverd the news are " express riders ". Adams also wants to have a faster way to get news as well.
  • Boston Tea Party

    Boston Tea Party
    The Boston Tea Party was the Sons of Liberty disguised as mohawks getting rid of all the tea. The coloniest did not like the fact that the brightish were making the Tea Act. So the Sons of Liberty 3 ships in Boston harbor they took all the tea and dumped it into the water. When the coloniest ( the next day ) heard about this they started singig a song, " rally the mohawks! bring out your axes and tell king George we'll pay no taxes". And when the English heard this got mad and Boston will pay.
  • Intolerable Acts

    Intolerable Acts
    This act is called the " Intolerable Acts " because of the " Boston Tea Party ". The Brightish had to punish Boston for the Boston Tea Party. Coloniest had to take care of soldiers who were sent back to Boston. The Boston port was cloesd until all the tea was paied for. Coloniest were upset because trading was thier economey. Coloniest also had to choose witch side they were on, if they opposed king Grorge you were a " patriot". If you stayed loyal you were a loyalists.

    The Committees of Correspoce thought of meeting in Philadelphia, 12 colonie leaders would go to discuss how to oppose the Intolerable Acts.
  • The First Continental Congress

    The First Continental Congress
    The Continetal Congress was a meeting in Philadelphia. Every Colonie exept Georgia attended this meeting to talk about getting rid of the " Intolerable Acts ". They all agreed they will not get any England goods until the Intolerable Acts were gone. Coloniest would probely like this because people in Boston need trade. Leaders would train men for battle just in case and some men were really good and always on the alert they were called " minute men ".
