    Bones grow and stiffen, and fingerprints start to form.

    Lungs start to recieve blood.
    Vernix Caseosa protects the baby from constant contact with fluids.

    Fetus is very active, and practices motor skills often.
    The fetus can now hear sounds outside the womb.
    Organs are maturing.
    Fetus starts to develop fat stores.
    8-12 inches long.

    Fetus starts to grow even more rapidly in size, weight, and length.
    Fetus has less room to move.
    Fetus starts to move into birthing position.
    Lungs can now support the baby outside of the womb.
