In 2001, led by Senior Reciever, Corner and Punt and Kick Returner, Anthony Gonzalaz, who is currently playing professional football for the Indianapolis Colts, win the Title game against Cincinnati St. Xavier by a score of 37-6.

Last year, St. Ignatius High School went on to win their 11th state title game. They deafeated Pickerington Central by a score of 34-13.
