Fr. John B. Neustich, S.J. acting President organized the opening of St. Ignatius in its temporary building.

Loyola High School Opens

A Jesuit Prepatory school was wanted in cleveland, Loyola High School opens

A change in name

Jan 1, 1923

!886 through 1922 St. i=Ignatius was known as "St.Ignatius College." In 1923 the name was changed to "The Cleveland University." Due to a dispute among academic officials, the name was changed to "John Carrol University."

Alma Mater is composed

The St. Ignatius Alma Mater was composed by band director, Jack Hearns Sr.

Jan 21, 1974

St. Ignatius becomes recognized in the National Register of Historic Places.
